BOUNTIFUL — A day after receiving his first offer from Utah State, Bountiful forward Zach Seljaas received an offer from BYU. Seljaas is a 6-foot-7 2015 graduate who averaged 15.3 points, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 2 3-pointers per game last season as a sophomore.
Seljaas’ older sister, Nancy Seljaas Warner, played basketball for BYU and coached the Springville girl’s team to a state championship last season. Nancy is married to former BYU football player Chris Warner.
Seljaas currently plays for Utah Prospects’ 16U team on the AAU circuit where he’s teammates with Brighton’s Brock Miller, Davis’ Jesse Wade and Granger’s Makol Mawien, among other top 2015 prospects.
Seljaas expressed excitement in receiving both offers and doesn’t have a timetable for making his commitment.
