Greetings from Moby Arena

We’re about 60 minutes away from tipoff at Moby Arena here in Fort Collins. I arrived about an hour ago. I was warned to get here early and I’m glad I did. Thousands of students were standing in a line that snaked around the arena, waiting to get in. It’s bitterly cold and windy, but that didn’t dampen their enthusiasm for this contest, which pits their Colorado State Rams against No. 9 BYU and Jimmer Fredette. A sellout is expected. This is billed as a White-Out, with students wearing white T-shirts.

CSU is one of the nation’s best shooting teams and it will test the Cougars’ defense. We’ll see if BYU can play as well on the road as it did at UNLV and at Utah in recent weeks.

It could be a whale of a game at Moby Arena.
