Prank or bad decision
There’s a photo making the rounds on the Web this morning showing a message on the Marriott Center jumbotron after BYU’s win over Utah State last night kind of rubbing in the loss to Aggie fans. I’m trying to find out from BYU officials whether the message was actually posted on the scoreboard, or if someone is distributing a doctored photo. If the message was indeed posted, it wasn’t cool and I expect BYU will take some sort of action. If it’s a doctored photo, that would be just as uncool. Once I find out, I’ll share any statements or actions.
One more thing that BYU fans want to know, is what about Brandon Davies? After the way he finished last season as a big part of BYU’s post play, Davies hasn’t done much this season. Is he in coach Dave Rose’s doghouse? He played only 1 minute against Utah State, and Rose said after the game that it was simply a game-plan decision to go with only two post players. Does that mean Davies is now third string, behind Chris Collinsworth and James Anderson? Hopefully Rose will share more insight on what’s going on there. For sure, BYU fans were and are expecting big things from Davies this season – which is what they saw late in the year last season.
