BYU-Georgia Tech series scheduled

BYU announced Monday that it has agreed to a four-game series with Georgia Tech, starting in 2012.
The Cougars and Yellow Jackets are set to meet at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on Oct. 13, 2012 and on Oct. 11, 2014. The two teams will play in Provo on Oct. 12, 2013 and Oct. 14, 2017.

“This should be a great series for our football program,” said BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe. “As we fill our schedules for the upcoming years, we want to play storied football programs like Georgia Tech. It’s a great opportunity for Cougar fans in the Southeast to see our football team play.”

BYU and Georgia Tech have played twice before. The Yellow Jackets beat the Cougars, 28-19, in Atlanta in 2002 and BYU topped Georgia Tech the following season in Provo, 24-13.
