MWC gearing up for hoops

The Mountain West Conference basketball media day is next Tuesday (Oct. 12) in Denver, where all of the league’s preseason honors and predictions will be announced. Several members of the media release beforehand, however, how their ballot looks. Here’s what Ryan Greene has to say about his ballot, and the reasons behind his choices. The conference gives a specific number of media members in each market a ballot, and the Deseret News from the BYU market does not get to submit a ballot. If I had one, it would look pretty much like Greene’s does here, but I’d have the Cougars at the No. 1 spot and San Diego State at No. 2.
