One more BYU hoops game in New York
Cougars basketball coach Dave Rose and his guys have decided to give Jimmer Fredette’s fans in New York a double-dose of their local hero. The Cougars signed off long ago on a game Dec. 8 at the Glens Falls Civic Center, in Fredette’s hometown, against Vermont. Tickets for the game in the 6,000-seat arena are expected to go quickly when they go on sale Sept. 18. Well, for the Fredette and Cougar fans who can’t catch that game, they can now take a 5-hour drive to Buffalo and catch BYU taking on the University of Buffalo Bulls on Dec. 30. The newly added game completes BYU’s road schedule for the coming season.
Buffalo plays in the East Division in the Mid-America Conference. The Bulls were 18-12 overall and 9-7 in conference play in 2010-11. Their season ended with a loss to Miami (Ohio) in the Mid-America Tournament.
