Collinsworth honored at All-American Classic

BYU basketball recruit Kyle Collinsworth, Utah’s Mr. Basketball and the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year from Provo High, traveled to California last week to compete in Saturday’s Second Annual High School Academic All-American Classic played at Azusa Pacific University. Collinsworth received the event’s Shooter’s Touch Community Service Award, for his combination of grades, community service and church.
I’ve been searching for a boxscore from the game but haven’t found one yet. However, I’ve heard that Collinsworth didn’t shoot much, but played good defense and rebounded well. You can join me if you’d like in watching a replay of the game online by clicking on this link:

OK, I just watched the game replay online. I think Collinsworth played about 16 minutes, scored six points on 3-of-4 shooting, with a handful of rebounds and a couple of steals. He seemed more interested in helping others do the scoring than trying to impress with points. He played a pretty unselfish game.
