Cougars will play Creighton in Round 2 of MVC/MWC Challenge

The Mountain West Conference and Missouri Valley Conference just released its schedule of games for next season in the challenge between the two conferences. The deal is for four years, and last season BYU hosted Bradley. Next season, on Dec. 1, the Cougars will play at Creighton. In 2011, BYU will host another MVC team at the Marriott Center.
And, in case you haven’t heard, it’s looking very likely that BYU will play Vermont at the Glens Falls Civic Center sometime in mid-December. Reports from Glens Falls officials say both schools have agreed to the game, but the final logistics are not completed. To me, I don’t see Glens Falls hero Jimmer Fredette missing this game. Therefore, my money says he returns to BYU next season. BYU officials don’t talk much about future games until the schedule is officially released, but once this game is finalized I think they’ll release something. Fredette’s family and officials back in Glens Falls are saying plenty, however. Also, we know that BYU has home games next year against Arizona (EnergySolutions Arena), Fresno State, Utah State, Hawaii and UTEP. The Cougars will also participate with St. Mary’s, Texas Tech and South Florida in the South Padre Island Invitational on Thanksgiving weekend.
