Three Cougars to play in East-West Shrine game

Three BYU players, quarterback Max Hall, tight end Dennis Pitta and defensive lineman Jan Jorgensen, will participate in the 85th annual East-West Shrine game, a showcase, and exhibition contest, for college seniors.

They’ll be joined by three players from Utah (offensive lineman Zane Beadles, wide receiver David Reed and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester), and one from Air Force (safety Chris Thomas), Colorado State (safety Klint Kubiak) and UNLV (linebacker Jason Beauchamp).

The game is scheduled for Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
