Bronco's Monday morning offerings

Fresh off a 52-0 blowout of Wyoming over the weekend, BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall addressed the media this morning as he does on Mondays. He called last Saturday’s win “one of the cleanest games we’ve played (offensively, defensively, special teams). “It sets a nice tone for the remainder of the season,” he said.

Mendenhall reiterated that Jan Jorgensen (bruised knee) and Harvey Unga (sprained ankle) are both fine, though Unga’s reps will be limited this week in practice. There were no other injuries that came out of the Wyoming game, Mendenhall said.

Asked about first-year New Mexico coach Mike Locksley, who is still looking for his first win, and his troubles both on and off the field, Mendenhall expressed sympathy. “It’s almost incomprehensible. I can’t imagine what it’s like for him and his family.”
