Wednesday's practice

The Cougars practiced indoors today due to intermittent rain in Provo. Coach Bronco Mendenhall was asked about the state of “the walking wounded.”

“Still walking. Still wounded,” Mendenhall replied. Not many more details beyond that, other than Scott Johnson (sprained ankle), Manase Tonga (knee) and Russell Tialavea (knee) are all “probable” for Saturday’s San Diego State game.

Tialavea, who is from the San Diego area, is planning to practice on Thursday. He said his knee is at about 90 percent and is looking forward to playing SDSU. He’s expecting a lot of family and friends to be at the game.

Running back Harvey Unga (lower back) practiced today and is expected to play.
