OU's Gresham out for BYU game

Earlier this week, I tried to line up an interview with Oklahoma tight end Jermaine Gresham. I was told he couldn’t and that he doesn’t do a lot of media interviews. But maybe there was more to that.
Today, Sooner coach Bob Stoops announced that Gresham will be sidelined for Saturday’s season-opener against BYU due to a knee injury. Gresham suffered cartilage damage in his right knee, according to the OU web site. He is being evaluated. Stoops said team doctors and trainers are discussing with Gresham his treatment options.
Trent Ratterree and James Hanna will be listed on the depth chart at tight end.
Gresham is quarterback Sam Bradford’s top returning receiver from a year ago, having caught 66 passes for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns.
