BYU football: Forever Strong

After today’s scrimmage, BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall was asked if his team is going to watch a movie during fall camp, as the Cougars have traditionally done during his tenure as head coach.
The coach said no, explaining that a couple of weeks ago, the team watched “Forever Strong,” a movie based on Highland High School coach Larry Gelwix’s renowned rugby team. Mendenhall said he and Gelwix are friends and that Gelwix addressed the team after it watched the film.
Asked for his review of the movie, Mendenhall paused and smiled. “Two thumbs up,” he said, with both thumbs pointed skyward.
