Injury update: Max Hall

BYU quarterback Max Hall was seen icing down his throwing hand after Monday morning’s practice. Turns out, according to BYU football media relations director Brett Pyne (who called me a little while ago), that Hall dislocated the ring finger on his hand.

The injury, which Morris told Pyne is a “routine” situation, happened during 11-on-11 drills. Team trainer Kevin Morris popped the finger back in place and Hall continued playing. Hall is expected to participate in this afternoon’s practice, though it is closed to the media.
As reported earlier, Hall threw his first two interceptions of fall camp this morning and he also threw a touchdown pass to Andrew George. Last week, Hall had a player rolled into his knee, which caused him some pain, but he didn’t miss any practice time because of it.
