BYU-Oklahoma buildup

Just 44 days away from kickoff. When BYU and Oklahoma line up to christen the Dallas Cowboys’ new, billion-dollar, state-of-the-art stadium on Sept. 5, it will be a big one. The Sooners, who return Heisman Trophy candidate Sam Bradford, are expected to be ranked in the top 3 in the preseason polls.

The buildup for this one has been gaining momentum for months.

I am working on a story for next week about that buildup and I was wondering if some of you loyal readers could help me out. If you’re willing to be quoted, please e-mail me (jeffc@desnews.com) or reply on this blog.

What I’d like to know is, are you going to the game in Arlington? How much money, total, are you going to spend on this road trip (including travel, food, lodging, tickets, etc.). What sacrifices are you making to be there?

Also, why are you planning to attend to this game? Are you going just for the experience of a unique season-opener, or do you believe the Cougars have a shot to pull off a shocking upset on ESPN?

Thanks for your assistance (isn’t technology great?).
