BYU lands another football commitment

Cornerback Jordan Johnson from Springfield, Mass., verbally committed to BYU today. Johnson, a 5-foot-10, 170-pounder, found out about the Cougars through his uncle, who works with former BYU basketball star Danny Ainge with the Boston Celtics, as well as Ainge’s son, Austin, who also played basketball at BYU.
“They’re great people,” Johnson said.
Johnson is set to sign with the Cougars next February. He attended BYU’s football camp recently and he enjoyed the atmosphere.
Johnson had offers from UConn, New Hampshire, Northeastern and Bryant University. He said Boston College, Maryland and Tulsa were also showing interest in him.
