The Heaps Sweepstakes

The big prize of the 2010 recruiting class for BYU is quarterback Jake Heaps, who was the MVP of the Nike Camp at Stanford held recently. The Sammamish, Wash., native narrowed his list of preferred schools to five: BYU, Tennessee, LSU, California and Washington.

Here’s what Rivals.com reported about Heaps today:

“BYU is the team to beat for Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline’s Jake Heaps. While Heaps is interested in Tennessee, LSU, California and Washington, sources say his Mormon faith will lead him to BYU. Heaps wants to make his decision in June, and if it isn’t BYU, it would be a stunner to a lot of people.”
