Cummard at the Portsmouth Invitational
BYU forward Lee Cummard is displaying his all-around game at the Portsmouth Invitational. Here’s a release on the two games he’s played so far:
BYU’s Lee Cummard helped lead the Norfolk Sports Club to an 88-77 victory over the Portsmouth Sports Club on Friday to advance to the title game of the consolation bracket in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
Reminiscent of his days as a Cougar, Cummard filled the stat sheet for the Norfolk Sports Club, scoring 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go with six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal. He hit his only attempt from downtown and was 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
On day one of the tournament Cummard’s team fell 89-74 to Cherry, Bakaert & Holland. He finished with five points, six boards and two steals.
The Norfolk Sports Club will play K&D Rounds Landscaping on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET in the final game of the consolation bracket.
