Will Cougars have a stronger 2009-10 schedule??

I hear it all the time that BYU needs to strengthen its schedule. What those who continually bring this up refuse to acknowledge is that BYU wants to do exactly that, but teams are hesitant to home-and-home contracts because they don’t want to play in the Marriott Center. Coach Dave Rose has repeatedly said he’ll play any team in the country, even at their place first, if they’ll only agree to a later game at the Marriott Center. In another couple months next season’s schedule will be released and we’ll see if BYU is making strides on this issue.
What I do know now, however, is that the Cougars will host Arizona State in the Marriott Center next season, will play Fresno State on a neutral floor somewhere in the L.A. area, and will be part of the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic with Nebraska, Tulsa and Nevada.
