Season Ticket Prices to Stay the Same in 2009′
PROVO, Utah (March 6, 2009) — In anticipation of one of the best home football schedules in school history, BYU Athletics today announced season ticket information for the 2009 season with ticket packages going on sale beginning Monday, March 9. All season ticket prices will remain the same as last season with the exception of 2,000 seats where planned stadium upgrades will add built-in backrests to regular bench seating.’
“We are keeping ticket prices the same as last season with the only exception being the upgraded seats with the new seatbacks,” BYU Athletics Director Tom Holmoe said. “We’re very excited about our 2009 home schedule. We host nationally ranked Florida State and in-state rival Utah State as well as the four other bowl teams from our conference in TCU, Air Force, Colorado State and Utah. LaVell Edwards Stadium will definitely be an exciting place to be this fall.”‘
Season ticket prices start at $96 for end zone tickets with premium end zone seats at $110. Faculty and staff season tickets are $130, and sideline bench seats starts at $200. Seats in the newly upgraded sideline sections with seatbacks (sections 3, 7, 103 and 107) are $250. Cougar Club members will receive priority seating. BYU’s 2009 home schedule includes three teams that finished nationally ranked last season, including No. 2 Utah, No. 7 TCU and No. 21 Florida State. BYU opens its home season on Sept. 19 against the Seminoles from the Atlantic Coast Conference with legendary coach Bobby Bowden bringing his team to Provo for the first time. The Cougars host Utah State and new coach Gary Anderson in a Friday night contest on Oct. 2. The remaining home dates will be announced with the expected release of the MWC schedule by April.’
Existing season-ticket holders can begin placing orders immediately online at BYUTickets.com. The deadline for re-ordering season tickets is April 22. Ticket renewal requests submitted after the deadline will be filled on a space-available basis. New season-ticket orders can be made starting on Monday, March 9 through the Marriott Center Ticket Office (800-322-BYU1 or 801-422-BYU1, hours 9 a.m.–5 p.m.).’
Information on student tickets and the BYU-Oklahoma game in Dallas will be released at a later date.’
