Rebel fans are ready to rock

It’s almost game time and the UNLV fans at the Thomas and Mack Center are loud, noisy and energetic. In fact, it’s the first sell-out at the Thomas and Mack since the Rebels played Georgetown on Jan. 23, 1993. Obviously, this is a tough place for road teams. If the Cougars can get a win here tonight, it will be huge since San Diego State lost earlier today.
Unfortunately for me, my press seat is horrible – about 10 rows up behind the basket, with one backboard blocking my view to other. I think I’ll be watching the Jumpbotron a lot.
One more thing. UNLV has the most overblown team introduction I’ve ever seen at the college level. Kind of like when the Utah Jazz go overboard for the playoffs. The air is cleaner following the Stadium of Fire show.
