Five Cougars named to MWC first team

The annual MWC awards show just ended and five BYU players earned MWC first-team honors — wide receiver Austin Collie, tight end Dennis Pitta, offensive linemen Ray Feinga and Dallas Reynolds; and defensive lineman Jan Jorgensen.

Pitta was the only unanimous selection on the MWC first-team offense. Pitta, Feinga, Reynolds and Jorgensen are all two-time first-team selections.

The second team included quarterback Max Hall, running back Harvey Unga, offensive lineman Travis Bright and linebacker David Nixon.

Punter C.J. Santiago and safety David Tafuna earned honorable mention.
