Collie a Biletnikoff Award finalist

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – BYU junior Austin Collie will represent the Mountain West Conference as one of 10 finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which annually recognizes the top wide receiver in college football.

Collie, a product of El Dorado Hills, Calif., currently leads the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) with 1,185 yards on 78 receptions (T-5th in NCAA). He has 13 touchdown receptions, which ranks at the fourth-most among wide receivers in the FBS, and is the midst of an eight consecutive game 100-yard receiving streak. The current eight-game stretch with a with at least 100-yards receiving is a BYU and MWC record.

The other 2008 finalists for the Biletnikoff Award are: Eric Decker (Minnesota), Kerry Meier (Kansas), Chase Coffman (Missouri), Jeremy Maclin (Missouri), Casey Fitzgerald (North Texas), Dez Bryant (Oklahoma State), Jared Dillard (Rice), Quan Cosby (Texas) and Michael Crabtree (Texas Tech).

The winner of the Biletnikoff Award will be announced as part of ESPN’s College Football Awards Show on Dec. 11.
