Tuesday practice report
BYU held practice indoors today due to the inclement weather. Coach Bronco Mendenhall liked what he saw from his players, but afterwards, made them do pushups because “seven things” were left in the locker room floor Monday night.
One notable absence from practice was running back Harvey Unga, who is sick. He has been throwing up today. Mendenhall said several other players have also been sick, but that it seems to last only one day.
Cornerback Brandon Bradley (shin contusion) was not practicing today but he is expected to be back Wednesday.
After practice, I talked to Andrew Rich, who has moved from safety to cornerback. He said the transition has gone well and that playing boundary corner is very similar to playing safety. Watching film all year long has helped, he said. He added that he and his teammates are eager to have a strong defensive outing Saturday against San Diego State.
