BYU moves up in coaches' poll
Despite the way it looked at times in its 45-42 win over Colorado State, BYU moved up one spot to No. 16 in the USA Today coaches’ poll released this morning. The AP poll and the BCS standings are due out later today.
What do you think of the Cougars’ ranking? Too high? Too low? Just right?
Here’s an interesting quote in today’s Fort Collins Coloradoan from CSU defensive coordinator Larry Kerr on trying to defend BYU tight end Dennis Pitta and wide receiver Austin Collie:
“We tried doubling, we tried cover 2, we tried cover 4, you name it we tried it,” Kerr said. “And we made some plays. We were just one play short.”
Kerr added: “Three turnovers and a goal-line stand, and we still give up that many points. It’s pretty incredible. It’s a tribute to a great offense.”
