Hall having fun again

While there’s a lot of attention on the BYU defense in the wake of last Saturday’s 42-35 victory over UNLV, the Cougar offense turned in its best performances in weeks. BYU showed some new formations and got a lot of players involved — nine different players caught passes.

‘Offensively, we were BYU again,” Hall said. “We executed, we took what the defense gave us and then at times took shots down field. We ran the ball really well. Our offensive line did a really good job … Also, our guys made plays. We played with enthusiasm and emotion. That was probably one of the funnest football games I’ve ever played in.’

Hall said the offense hasn’t changed, but that it’s a matter of executing the plays.
‘It was still the same kind of offense, the same concepts we have in, just some different looks. We kept it close to a 50-50 pass-run (ratio). We kept the defense kind on its heels because we were doing everything out of each formation. Sometimes I think we can get (predictable). We mixed it up. We didn’t change our offense, we just executed better.’
