BYU's preseason ranking

BYU checked in at No. 14 in the final polls (AP and coaches) released today. What does that, as well as a host of offensive players returning next year, mean for next fall’s preseason ranking and the Cougars’ quest to play in a BCS game?

Rivals.com has released a 2008 preseason Top 25, ranking BYU No. 12, sandwiched between No. 11 Kansas and No. 13 Virginia Tech. Rivals.com’s comment: “If the Cougars beat Washington and UCLA in September, they might not lose all season.”
